Course Description
Music, Arts and Culture at the Grand Canyon
The strength, beauty and natural wonder of the Grand Canyon demand that only the best music be performed at its annual music festival. Join world-renowned musicians for two nights of primarily chamber music - baroque to contemporary. Enjoy two inspiring concerts and lectures by the musicians. Past musicians include Jubilant Sykes, Alan Chow, John Sebastian and the Corigliano Quartet. Learn from naturalists on guided hikes along the rim, explore the canyon's South Rim village area, and take in the sweeping views to the Colorado River below. Discover the canyon's fascinating human history while learning of settlers, explorers, naturalists, miners and dreamers who came to the canyon, descended into its depths and challenged its rapids.
