Synopsis
From expansive vistas of saguaro cactus to the unfathomable depths of the Grand Canyon, experience the many faces of Arizona in this dynamic 8-night program. Explore the intricate ways in which the geology and climate have combined to form a unique and majestic landscape for those who have lived here for millennia. In Phoenix, a dynamic Sonoran desert city, study its verdant desert flora and Native American past; enjoy the spectacular red rocks of the high desert in mystical Sedona; and climb to the majestic ponderosa pine forest surrounding Flagstaff. Culminate your journey with the majesty of the Grand Canyon from its South Rim and discover its compelling histories and incomparable vistas. 

Course Description
From Desert Oasis To The Grand Canyon
Visit Phoenix, Sedona, Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon to experience the best of Arizona in one dynamic program! Enjoy field trips and interact with experts while learning about Arizona's geology, natural history, and native cultures. See the desert in bloom at the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden and explore Native American culture at the acclaimed Heard Museum. Learn about the Sinagua at Montezuma's Castle while traveling to Sedona's red rock country. Visit Walnut Canyon's cliff dwellings and the Museum of Northern Arizona while staying in the mountain town of Flagstaff. Travel to the Grand Canyon's South Rim by way of historic Cameron Trading Post. Learn about the formation of this incredible Canyon and view a sunset on the rim before returning to Phoenix for departure. 

Accommodations
Centrally located modern hotels. Grand Canyon lodging just 1/4 mile from the majestic rim and central to Grand Canyon Village. Outdoor swimming pools and spas (except at Grand Canyon).
