Synopsis
Enjoy the ambiance of one of Sedona's most noted resorts as you discover two great American treasures - Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Surrounded by soaring red-rock buttes, lush green foliage and the vertical cliffs of glistening Oak Creek, Sedona may have the most spectacular setting of any city in America. Immerse yourself in the beauty of this spectacular setting and discover its human and natural history as you savor its mix of pioneer and artistic spirit. Wilderness areas adjacent to lodging offer opportunities for hiking and contemplation. 120 miles north of Phoenix; commercial shuttle available from Phoenix airport.

Course Description
Sedona and the Grand Canyon for the Holidays
Discover Sedona's festive, holiday events and enjoy a full day guided field trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Attend theatrical and musical performances and take an open-air trolley excursion to Sedona's finest sights including the Frank Lloyd Wright inspired "Chapel of The Holy Cross". Enjoy the 16th year of Sedona's Red Rock Fantasy with its millions of holiday lights and festive cheer. Stroll the grounds of the Mexican style market of Tlaquepaque's, where the holiday spirit abounds. Your trip to the Grand Canyon includes a journey trough beautiful Oak Creek Canyon, a stop at an historic trading post on the Navajo reservation, lunch on the Canyon rim at Desert Watchtower, a geology presentation and time to hike the rim.

Accommodations
12/5/06: Boutique hotel in uptown Sedona. Rooms have private deck or balcony and incredible views. Adjacent to numerous galleries and restaurants, outdoor pool and spa.
12/12/06: Sedona, resort setting on the banks of beautiful Oak Creek. Amenities include tennis courts, golf course, full fitness room and spa, swimming pool.
